In a room with cozy pillows, warm tea, and people who shared similar backgrounds, we built an inclusive community, and this experience reminded me how vital it is to create spaces where everyone feels heard, supported, and safe.

I wanted to find a community that would not only accept me, but one that I could also contribute to. One such community that I found is the Ukrainian Student Association at UCSB.
